Feedback

As I have taken on the role of team leader, I am the primary contact for the clients at Brighton Festival. They sent me an email with the feedback from the pitch which I forwarded on to the rest of the group.

They would like us to expand on the idea of interviewing people who are passionate about Brighton. I think that we could do this by using people who were actually involved in the festival rather than actors as they will be able to give their first hand experiences.

They asked how we will create a an artistic theme, and we aim to do this through a range of camera techniques such as carefully filmed focus pulls. We'd also like to film some cutaway shots at night time as the city comes alive when it's all lit up.

One of the main issues they had with our pitch was that we were aiming at a young audience. I take responsibility for this as I had not properly researched the age range. We would therefore like to use a range of different volunteers and make sure that the video is informative.

The feedback states that we should carefully place our interviewees in different locations. We would like to film in locations within the Dome, during the pitch they suggested that we use the Concert Hall with an older volunteer. We could also film in some locations within the Lanes and at the Level with a younger volunteer.

They suggested that we make our video more focused on Brighton Festival. We had originally planned to make the introduction featuring iconography in Brighton, however the client think that this may distract from the theme of volunteering. Instead it may be better cut down the time we would spend on the introduction.
